Hunter
Testifies In Molly Bish Case
Grand Jury Investigating Teen's Death
Hartford Journal
May 25, 2004
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- The man who led police to a blue
bathing suit that belonged to a missing Massachusetts
lifeguard testified Monday in front of a grand jury.
Rick Boudreau told the jury, which is investigating the
death of 16-year-old Molly Bish, about what he saw in the
wooded area. The discovery led investigators to Bish's
remains last summer.
Boudreau testified for about 10 minutes. He found the
clothing in 2002 when he was hunting near the Warren, Mass.,
pond where Bish was last seen in June 2000.
Until finding the bathing suit, the only clues available to
investigators were a water bottle, her lunch, a police radio
and an empty chair. Bish was apparently abducted June 27,
2000, minutes after her mother dropped her off to work at
Comins Pond in Warren. The town is about 70 miles west of
Boston.
In June 2003, authorities announced they positively
identified remains found near the pond as those of Bish. The
bones were found in the same wooded area where Boudreau came
across the bathing suit. |
